Mike Silecchia

Mike Silecchia joined the Millersville coaching staff prior to the 2016 season, bringing with him a wealth of experience and Pennsylvania ties.

A 1978 graduate of Mansfield University, Silecchia has spent the last 38 years as a football coach including six years as a head coach at nearby Lebanon Valley and most recently as an assistant for seven seasons at Shepherd where he helped the Rams to a NCAA Division II Runner-Up finish in 2015. During his time at Shepherd, Silecchia's teams made four NCAA playoff appearances.

Over the course of his career, Silecchia has been a part of 18 NCAA playoff appearances and eight league championships.

Prior to his stint at Shepherd, Silecchia served as the offensive coordinator at Widener for two seasons and as the defensive coordinator at Kutztown from 2006-07. Silecchia was the head coach at Lebanon Valley from 1998-2004. He was also the defensive coordinator at Mansfield for 10 seasons. From 1995-97, he helped Lycoming to a Division III championship game appearance, a national semifinal and a national quarterfinal. At Frostburg State in 2004-05, he helped the team to the ECAC playoffs. His stops also include head coaching roles at North Penn and Athens high schools.

In addition to a bachelor's degree from Mansfield, Silecchia earned a master's degree in special education from Mansfield in 1984.
