Kyle McNeil, a former star quarterback at Elizabethtown High School and member of the Penn State football team, joined the Millersville coaching staff prior to the 2014 season. McNeil enters his third season with the club in 2016.
McNeil's outside linebackers have made a big impact in the drastic improvement of the team's defense. In 2014, freshmen outside linebackers Sene Polamalu and Logan Kinser made immediate impacts, combining for 72 tackles. His linebackers generated 11 of the team's 16 sacks. In 2015, Sene Polamalu and Sean Dugan combined for 9.5 sacks. Polamalu's 6.0 were the most by a Marauder since 2001, and 10.0 sacks through 22 career games are the most since Millersville Hall of Famer Scott Martin totaled 10 as a freshman and sophomore in 1990-91.
McNeil, who graduated from Penn State with a bachelor's degree in crime, law and justice in 2013, started his collegiate football career at Robert Morris in 2009. He was a member of a NEC Championship in that first season. McNeil then transferred to Penn State where he was a linebacker from 2010-12.
McNeail was a Dean's List student throughout his collegiate career. He also worked with Help Every Angle Live (H.E.A.L.) as part of Penn State's THON.
