MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Millersville started the season off strong with a 5-0 win over Dominican at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.

The five goals came from five players, and Addy Arkhurst earned a shutout in her first career start, stopping a pair of shots.

"I think, honestly, it was just come out, compete, have fun and just be who we want to be, show who you want to be, but you have to do that with action," said Millersville head coach Shelly Behrens. "You can't sit around and talk about it."

Millersville started the scoring early in the first quarter after earning its first penalty corner of the game. Once the chaos of the corner settled, Peyton Bean found her way across the field and connected with Erin Esterhuizen. 'Ville kept the possession throughout the first quarter managing two shots on goal and another three penalty corner attempts before Zoe Angelinas found the back of the net.

It didn't take long for the Marauders to find the cage in the third quarter. A shot from Alania Culbert was saved by the Dominican goalkeeper and deflected to the stick of Tiana Weeks who took the advantage and redirected the ball into the cage. Not a full minute later, Lani Derickx scored her first career goal. Alaina Culbert scored unassisted in the 47^th minute to cap the scoring.

The Marauders utilized a deep bench in the game and had some strong showings from freshmen and sophomores like Jaelynn Fry, Alli Clark, Bree Aughenbaugh, Kelsey Beauchamp, and Emma Koehler.

"It was just a balance of our timing and ourselves, and it's really just what we want to do," said Behrens. "We want to run people in, run people off, be focused, ready to go. Everybody knows next person up."

The balance scoring was a highlight of the Marauders' win. Weeks and Derickx both scored in their first games as Marauders.

"The balance is something we want to continue," said Behrens. "They have their markers to meet in their respective lines, and I thought the bench did a good job too."
