Softball announces 2026 signing class

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville softball program, led by head coach Jen Probst, has unveiled its 2026 signing class. Probst more than doubled last year's group, welcoming nine new signees: Jacklyn Del Pozzo, Gabrielle Hieber, Addison Kubica, Kayla Lagowy, Emma Martin, Hayden Moxley, Micaela Parnell, Angelica Roman, and Megan Sandow.

Scouting Report: A middle infielder from St. Anthony's High School in New York who has enjoyed a good career under head coach Michael Masa, Del Pozzo is a four-time varsity letter winner and team captain. As she enters her senior season, she aims to add another state championship to her high school career. With her major still undecided, Del Pozzo said the team's chemistry and the coaching philosophy were key factors in her decision, noting, "I love the team chemistry as well as the coach's personality and view on coaching."

She has earned First Team All-State honors in each of the past three seasons and was named offensive MVP as a sophomore. Planning to major in biology, Hieber said Millersville's welcoming environment, strong academics, and scenic campus as key factors in her decision, saying, "I chose Millersville because of the welcoming environment, beautiful campus, and the academics."

Scouting Report: A corner infielder from Northern Lebanon High School who has developed under head coach Bob Baeshore, Kubica enters her senior season aiming to reach the 100-hit milestone and adding another Section Three championship and a fourth Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star selection. Planning to major in elementary education, she said Millersville's strong academic reputation and the positive, supportive environment created by the coaching staff and players as key factors in her decision, saying, "I chose Millersville because of the strong education program and the positive atmosphere the coaches and players showed me. It's also the perfect distance from home."

Scouting Report: A middle infielder who has thrived under head coach Heather Natt at Hazleton Area High School, Lagowy enters her senior season aiming to extend her impressive run at shortstop with a third consecutive First Team Wyoming Valley Conference selection. She also earned Second Team 6A All-State honors at the position. The Drums native carries a .507 batting average from the leadoff spot and sits just 14 hits shy of the 100-hit milestone. Planning to major in business management, Lagowy said Millersville stood out as the ideal balance of academics and athletics, noting, "After visiting other universities, Millersville seemed like a great academic and athletic fit for me."

Martin has earned All-District honors in each of the past three seasons, including First Team selections as a pitcher in the last two, and has also been named to the All-Region, All-State, and All-Area First Teams. With her major still undecided, Martin said she was drawn to Millersville by its welcoming atmosphere, noting, "I love Millersville because it's in a beautiful area that feels like its own little town, which makes it really special to me. The people on campus are very welcoming, and the atmosphere already feels like home."

Scouting Report: Primarily a pitcher who can also contribute at the plate, Moxley has enjoyed a strong run under head coach Charles Toms at Middletown and is coming off an impressive junior season. She posted a 1.45 ERA with 75 strikeouts across 86 innings and earned First Team All-County honors in 2025. With her major still undecided, Moxley said the coaching approach of Coach Probst and Coach Sykes, along with the team's chemistry and welcoming environment, made Millersville the right fit, stating, "I chose Millersville because it was everything I was looking for in a school and team. Not only I was impressed with Coach Probst, I was also impressed with the chemistry of the team and the welcoming environment. Coach Probst and Coach Sykes have the coaching styles and goals I wanted in a coach."

Scouting Report: Plays both shortstop and in the outfield, Parnell enters her senior season aiming to build on a standout 2025 campaign in which she posted a .528 batting average. As a junior, she was named team captain and earned CMC First Team and All-County Second Team honors. Planning to major in Exercise Science, Parnell said Millersville's supportive environment as a key factor in her commitment, saying, "Between the coaches, players, great community, academics, and beautiful campus, I believe Millersville is the perfect fit for me to grow as a student, player, and as a person."

Entering the spring season, she will earn her fourth varsity letter and is aiming to become a three-time Peggy Howell Award recipient. Planning to major in sociology, Roman said Millersville stood out because of its campus atmosphere and the welcoming culture of the softball program. "The campus size and overall environment immediately appealed to me, especially because of the strong opportunities available in my field, both during my time as a student and after graduation. In addition, the softball team was incredibly welcoming and made me feel like I would truly belong on the team."

Planning to major in sports medicine, Sandow said Millersville felt like home from her first visit, noting, "I knew Millersville was the right choice for me because it felt like home the first time I was on campus. Coach Probst was super supportive during the recruiting process and made me want to be a part of the Ville softball family."
