CARLISLE, Pa. --- The Millersville men's golf team traveled to Carlisle to take part in the Dickinson Invitational on Sunday morning in which they placed fourth overall among 21 teams. The tournament consisted of two rounds, the first took place Sunday and the second took place Monday. Both rounds were played at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Club, par for the course is 72.
The Marauders were led by senior,
Max Pflieger, as he shot two under and tied for eighth on the leader board. After the conclusion of the first day of competition, Pflieger was one over par, but had a strong showing on day two and shot three under to push himself up the leader board to end the invitational.
Not far behind the leader for the black and gold was
Logan Wagner, who shot two over through his two rounds. Wagner shot one under par on Sunday and three over par today and finished tied for 14th in the tournament.
Other Marauders that played a pivotal role in the groups fourth overall finish were
Eric Miller,
Jake Shmonov, and
Cole Duffy. Miller and Shmonov shot five over par through two rounds while Duffy was a stroke behind at six over.
Millersville is back in action two weeks from today at the Penn West Hannastown Invitational in Greensburg, Pa.
