Millersville wraps up fall season with runner-up finish at Lebanon Valley Invitational

| By:

Lebanon, Pa. – The Millersville University men's golf team closed out its fall season with a strong performance at the Lebanon Valley Fall Invitational, finishing second out of 19 teams at Lebanon Country Club. The Marauders posted a team total of 317 (+29) on the par-72, 6,562-yard course, trailing only tournament champion Pitt-Greensburg, which carded a 300 (+12).

Leading the way for Millersville was sophomore Jake Shmonov, who fired a 3-over-par 75 to finish in fifth place overall—just one stroke off the tournament's top mark of 74 shared by four players. Josh Baker followed closely behind, carding a four over par (76) to tie for sixth. Cole Duffy and Bo Meakim each turned in solid rounds with eight over par (80), while Logan Wagner and Max Pfleiger added matching nine over par (81) and ten over par (82) efforts, respectively. Ben Gehrt rounded out Millersville's lineup with a 14 over par round as an individual.

The Marauders' consistency throughout the lineup proved key to securing the runner-up finish, placing ahead of conference and regional rivals including Elizabethtown (325, +37), Penn State Harrisburg (325, +37), and DeSales (326, +38).

The Lebanon Valley Invitational marked the final competition of Millersville's fall schedule. The Marauders will now turn their focus to the spring season!
