Marauders move slightly with three top 25 finishers

LEBANON, Pa. --- The Millersville men's golf team finished the second day of the PSAC Championship with a slight improvement in their positioning from day one, now sitting in seventh place, at Iron Valley Golf Club.

Cole Duffy has settled into the course and the tournament shooting one under in today's round. Duffy was two under par through nine with two birdies and seven pars. His great play continued as he kicked off the back nine with a birdie, but that was followed by two consecutive bogeys on 11 and 12. Duffy hit another birdie on 13 though to put himself back down to two under. He bogeyed hole 18 to finish at one under and place himself within the top 25 golfers at 23. A huge improvement from where he ended yesterdays scoring.

Day one leader Max Pflieger shot five over today to put himself at eight over through two rounds. Pflieger sits at 20th place after day two. The other top 25 finisher through two rounds is Josh Baker who matched his round one scoring at five over and sits at 25th in the tournament. Baker got through the front nine at one under, but had a tough stretch on the back nine from holes 14-18 that boosted his score in the end.

Bo Meakim shot better today then he did yesterday at six over. Meakim's round included a rare eagle on hole 16. Logan Wagner shot down the leader board today shooting 11 over on a tough course for someone who is competing in their first PSAC tournament.

The final day of the PSAC Championship is tomorrow. With the Marauders sitting solely in seventh place, shooting 43 over through two rounds of competition, they will look to stay put and finish their outing strong as the next nearest team is Indiana University of Pennsylvania, who are sitting at 25 over.

Pitt-Johnstown currently leads after day two, but it is a tight race for first place as West Chester sits just eight strokes behind.
