Logan Wagner's 2-under-par round and medalist finish, the Millersville men's golf team took first place at Thursday's 18-hole Husky Spring Invitational.
Wagner shot a career-low round for the first tournament win of his collegiate career. His 70 edged Richard Essen by two shots. His round included a 3-under front nine as well as two more birdies on the back. Wagner paced five Marauders in the top 10.
Millersville shot a 22-over team score for its third win of 2024-25 and first since March 31. The Marauders topped Scranton by six shots and Bloomsburg by seven.
Timothy Peters extended his run of consecutive top-10 finishes to 17 with a 3-over-par 75, tying for fourth. He was even on the front side before a stretch of four bogeys from the 10th to the 16th.
Josh Baker tied for sixth with a 4-over 76, posting an eagle on the par-5 third and three birdies on the back nine.
Eric Miller tied for 10th with a 78.
Bo Meakim, playing as an individual, posted a 77 to place ninth.
Millersville plays in the F&M Invitational on Monday, which is one final tune-up before the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional. The Marauders were ranked fifth in the official NCAA Atlantic Region rankings a week ago, putting them in position for an at-large bid.
