
Men's tennis completes comeback over Kutztown

KUTZTOWN, Pa. — The Millersville men's tennis team got back in the win column with a 4–3 win against Kutztown in a key in-conference matchup late in the season.
All three doubles matches were tightly contested, with each team picking up a 7–5 win, but Kutztown taking the swing match in a tiebreaker. Jasper de Koning and Paul Bagnouls picked up the Marauders win in the opening slate in a victory over Emmitt Robinson and Linus Vennekold.
Needing a comeback after falling behind 3–0, Sebas Castro got things started with a. 6–0, 6–2 win over Joaquin Perez out of the fourth seed. Lino Morin followed up Castro's win with one of his own, taking down Dang Nguyen; 7–5, 6–4. Victor Suarez picked up the next win for Millersville to even the dual, defeating Nikita Safonov; 7–5, 6–1. In the winner-take-all match, de Koning got the job done against Henrique Rocha in a 7–6, 7–6 win.
The Marauders are now 8–6 and move to 3–1 against PSAC opponents with three matches left on the schedule, including one last in-conference dual later this week. The Marauders have a couple of days between their next dual when they take on Jefferson at 3 p.m. on Thursday in Philadelphia.
