Doubles strong but Marauders can't top F&M

LANCASTER, Pa. - Millersville men's tennis opened its fall campaign with a 6-1 loss at Franklin & Marshall.

Millersville (0-1) won two of three doubles matches to score the match's first point, but the Marauders were unable to carry that momentum into singles as F&M (2-0) swept all six match-ups.

Sandor Wulf and Joel Oetliker teamed for a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles. Milan Urbanek and Paul Bagnouls squeaked out a 7-5 win in the No. 2 spot. F&M's No. 3 team topped Adrian Weisser and Arrav Bharti 7-6 to avoid the sweep.

"Our doubles were very strong today," said Millersville head coach Eric Burns. "Taking the doubles point early was big. There were lots of positives to take away from singles as well. It's great to have the first match under our belt to gauge where we are."

Millersville makes its 2026-27 home debut on Friday, Oct. 2 against Davis & Elkins.
