Box Score MILLERSVILLE, Pa. — The Marauders took on East Stroudsburg and battled back and forth with the Warriors but ultimately fell 4–3.
Millersville got off to a strong start, winning two of the doubles matches to take the early lead.
Chloe Abramowitz and
Luci Consigliere picked up the first decision with a 6–3 victory over Ariel Kelsick and Lea Stefanovic, and
Sophie Lanius and
Yasmin Scott clinched the point in a 7–5 win against Bega Gotor and Claudia Ermina.
Abramowitz's individual momentum carried over into her singles match, as she picked up a 6–1, 6–2 win out of the third spot.
Lauren Hayes, who recently swapped places with Abramowitz, came out on top against Stefanovic in a 6–4, 7–5 decision. However, the Warriors found their game and took the other four matches in two sets each, coming away with the 4–3 win.
Millersville is now an even 6–6 overall and 1–1 in-conference with a date against Kutztown next on the schedule. The Marauders will travel to play the Golden Bears at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5
th in Kutztown Pa..
