
Women's tennis cruises in shutout over Frostburg State

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. — The Millersville women's tennis team had a dominant showing against Frostburg State, coming away with a 7–0 win.
The Marauders only needed one win in the doubles slate to clinch the point as Frostburg State only fielded two duos, and 'Ville got it in the second match. Chloe Abramowitz and Luci Consigliere defeated Patricia Castejon and Ella Troxell 6–2. After splitting the doubles matches, Millersville swept singles play. Hui Jen Soo beat Alyssa Kush 6–4, 6–1, and Lauren Hayes picked up a 6–2, 6-0 win in the second spot. Abramowitz bested Troxell again with a 6–2, 6–0 win, and Consigliere took down Lorena Pintar 4–6, 6–3, 1–0. In the final match of the day, Sophie Lanius came back against Femke Hofkamp in a 5–7, 6–1, 1–0 victory.
The Marauders are now 6–5 on the season and have a quick turnaround before their next dual, hosting East Stroudsburg at 1 p.m. tomorrow at McComsey Tennis Courts.
