How It Happened
Shippensburg broke through late in the second quarter when Kayla Snyder scored at the 5:19 mark off an assist from McKenna Boyle to take a 1–0 lead. The Raiders added an insurance goal in the fourth quarter when Anne Gardner found the back of the cage at 2:29 in the fourth, sealing the 2–0 victory.
The Marauders were out shot 24–8 but held tough defensively behind a strong effort from Sarah Crysler to keep the Red Raiders at bay who recorded seven saves on the evening. Shippensburg earned 16 penalty corners compared to Millersville's four, keeping steady pressure on the Marauder defense who held strong for the amount that they were tested.
Alexis Kern and Liv Roscoe each received cards in the contest, with Kern issued a green and a yellow card and Roscoe picking up one yellow.
Millersville will look to bounce back in its next PSAC match up as the Marauders continue conference play this Saturday against Mansfield.

- Tough game against a tough opponent tonight, what did you learn about your team in this one?
- "I think the resiliency and the heart. I challenged them on a couple of things and they responded. I think we could've started off a bit stronger, that's a very good team in Ship, but I think we tend to bring out the best of each other on occasions. Excited from where we're going from here."
