CARLISLE, Pa. - Millersville's
Timothy Peters has started the 2024-25 season on a different level. The sophomore led Millersville to its second consecutive triumph at the Dickinson Invitational with a runaway first-place finish of his own.
Peters' 5-under-par 67 topped a trio of runner-up finishers--one of them his teammate
Eric Miller--by five shots. He was the only golfer in the 98-man field to break par. Peters has won each of the first two tournaments of the season and now has six wins in 17 career starts.
As a team, Millersville has won seven tournaments since Oct. 12, 2023.
Millersville won Monday's tournament by eight shots with a 4-over 292 total. Miller backed-up Peters' performance with a career-low, even-par 72. Freshman
Sebastian Botero tied for eighth with a 2-over 74. Fellow freshman
Jake Shmonov posted a 76 to tie for 17th.
Bo Meakim rounded out Millersville's top five with a tie for 27th.
