LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The Millersville women's tennis team took care of business on the road against Lock Haven in their final match of the regular season, winning 7–0.
The Marauders rested two of their starters, which moved Chloe Abramowitz and Sido Rault into the top two spots in the lineup. The duo handled Lock Haven's top pair in a 6–3 win. Noelle Htwar and Sophie Lanius formed a makeshift pairing in the second doubles match, but their inexperience together didn't show, as they won 6–0. Luci Consigliere and Victoria Schrader were inserted into the lineup and performed well in relief, as they took their match 6–1.
Htwar took the spot in the first singles match, taking it by the score 6–0, 6–1. Abramowitz and Rault both dominated in their individual matches, winning 6–0, 6–0 each. Lanius nearly came away with a shutout in her individual match, ceding just one point to win 6–1, 6–0. In the fifth and sixth matches, Consigliere and Schraeder both their matches 6–3, 6–0, with Consigliere in the fifth spot and Schrader in the sixth.
After clinching the PSAC East title in their 5–2 win over Bloomsburg on Friday, the Marauders finish the regular season with an overall record 15–7 and a perfect 7–0 record against PSAC opponents. Millersville enters the postseason riding a six-match win streak, including four shutout wins during that stretch. Millersville will next play in the PSAC Tournament semifinals on Friday, May 3, with their opponent and time TBD.
