Millersville men's golf at the PSAC Championship

Marauders take third place in Vulcan Invitational

BELLE VERNON, Pa. - The Millersville men's golf team recorded a third-place finish after three rounds at the Vulcan Invitational in a 16-team field.
 
The Marauders finished 19 strokes behind the first-place finisher, Gannon, and 17 strokes behind Pitt-Johnstown after shooting a three-round total of 897.
 
Millersville was led by Bobby Lugiano, shooting 5-over-par through three rounds to tie for seventh overall. Lugiano began the invitation shooting a 71 (1-under-par) and followed that with a 74 in the second round, then a 76 in round three. 
 
Timothy Peters finished tied for ninth with a total score 222 and shooting a 73 in the final round. Ty Morral posted a 225 to tie for 19th and Carl Earnst rounded out the team's countable scores with a total of 229.
Jake Speers finished tied for ninth, posting a 222 and Bo Meakim finished a combined 20-over-par.
 
 The Marauders next competition is Sept. 12 at the Elizabethtown Invitational.
