Maria Ojeda was not enough for the Millersville women's tennis against Fairmont State Thursday. Fairmont State scored a 6-1 win over the Marauders.
Fairmont State improved its record to 5-2 with the win while Millersville (0-5) remained in search of its first win of the season.
Ojeda outlasted Ainara Pastor Garcia at No. 2 singles, winning a third-set tiebreaker and bouncing back from a second set loss, 6-0, 3-6, 10-6. Fairmont State took the other five singles matches in straight sets, but
Noelle Htwar at No. 1 singles and
Sarah McComas at No. 6 pushed their opponents to tiebreakers in the first sets. Fairmont State also swept all three doubles matches.
