MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville University softball team (19-23, 7-7 PSAC) was swept by the Bloomsburg Huskies on Saturday, falling out of a playoff spot and into a tie for sixth place in the PSAC East standings.
Â
Millersville was shutout in game one by a final of 4-0 before dropping game two 6-3 in an extra inning affair.
Â
The regular season concludes tomorrow, April 30, as 'Ville will need to win both games against the Shepherd Rams, along with a lot of upsets across the conference, for a chance to make the conference tournament.
Â
The top five teams in each division will make the tournament. Kutztown (10-4) and Shippensburg (9-5) lead the standings heading into tomorrow's finale, followed by East Stroudsburg (8-6), Bloomsburg (8-6), and Shepherd (8-6). West Chester (7-7) and Millersville (7-7) sit on the outside looking in, but both are within reach of leapfrogging their way into the playoffs. Tiebreakers will almost certainly be a factor with the standings so close going into the final day of play.
