'Ville men's tennis sweeps Kutztown on Senior Day

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Millersville's Carlos Martinez-Lucas and Santiago Ramos enjoyed a 7-0 Senior Day victory over Kutztown Saturday at home.
The win pushed Millersville's record above .500 to 6-5 and it brought it back to even in conference action at 2-2. Millersville stayed perfect at home, improving to 4-0.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Carlos Martinez-Lucas and Frank Yanni improved to an impressive 16-3 at No. 1 doubles with a 7-5 win. The 16th win moved the duo into a tie for fifth place on Millersville's single-season wins list. Over the last two seasons, Martinez-Lucas and Yanni are 27-5, which ranks them fourth in all-time wins and they currently sit first in career doubles winning percentage (.844).
• Lino Morin and Dylan Tull (No. 2) and Zach Pernia and Santiago Ramos (No. 3) both swept their opponents by 6-0 scores.
• In singles, Martinez-Lucas moved alone into 14th place on Millersville's career wins list, improving to 44-17 all-time by defeating Gonzalo Barcelo, 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 1 flight. Ramos (No. 2), Tull (No. 3), Jasper de Koning (No. 4), Morin (No. 5) and Shaurya Piplani (No. 6) all won in straight sets to complete the sweep.
