SCOUTING THE MARAUDERS
- Millersville PSAC ranks: first in home runs (27) sixth in runs (115) sixth in OBP (.382) 12th in batting average (.268) and fifth in slugging percentage at a .457 clip. The Marauders are also seventh in ERA (3.06) and 10th in opponent batting average (.275).
- The Marauders rank 16th in all of DII in home runs per game with 1.23.
- First baseman Gabi Turner has been the hot bat for ’Ville as she hit .412 with three home runs, eight RBIs, and five runs scored last week.
- The Marauders also received outstanding pitching from Morgan Crutcher last week when she recorded a 0.98 ERA over 21 1/3 innings of work, allowing just nine hits over three complete games in the circle.
- Crutcher is second in the PSAC in innings pitched with 50 1/3 on the season.
- Millersville has two starters with an OPS over 1.000 as Hunter Little (1.281) and Turner (1.030) have led the way for the team at the plate this season.
- Turner PSAC ranks: She is tied for first in home runs (6) fourth in RBIs (21) tied for third in walks (12).
- Little PSAC ranks: She is ninth in slugging percentage (.686) second in OBP (.595) tied for second in home runs (5) and tied for fifth in runs scored with 19.
SCOUTING THE BLOOMFIELD BEARS (Friday, March 25)
- The Bears have gotten off to a slow start with a 2-11 record.
- Bloomfield is hitting just .229 as a team while opponents are hitting .360 against the Bears.
- Bloomfield has hit just one home run this season and is slugging .284 as a team.
- The Bears run well as the team is 17-20 in stolen base attempts.
- Bloomfield competes in the DII Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
SCOUTING THE IUP CRIMSON HAWKS (Sunday, March 27)
- IUP is off to a 7-9 start to their season.
- The Crimson Hawks rank 11th in the PSAC in average, hitting .280 as a group.
- Pitching has been an issue as the team ranks 16th in the conference in ERA (4.86) and have the third worse opponent average at .299.
SCOUTING THE CHESTNUT HILL GRIFFINS (Wednesday, March 30)
- The Griffins are off to a 5-13 start to their season.
- Chestnut Hill is slashing .254/.327/.334 as a team with five home runs at the plate.
- The Griffins have used just three pitchers all season, who have combined to record a 6.98 ERA. Opponents are hitting .369 against the trio while the staff has a 52-81 strikeout to walk ratio.
