ABOUT THE MARAUDERS 

• Millersville comes into the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships following its two best placements of the fall semester, placing second at the Alvernia Invitational and earning a share of fifth-place at the Clarion Invitational. 'Ville posted its best statistical performance during the Vulcan Invitational to open the fall season, shooting an even-par 568 to place seventh.
• The group will look to improve on last season's PSAC Championship performance as they finished in eighth place out of the 10 teams competing, and 58 strokes behind the champion, Indiana (Pa.).
• The Marauders' top performer through eight rounds has been Bobby Lugiano. Lugiano is bringing a 73 scoring average into the PSAC Championships; the junior's best two rounds came during the Vulcan Invitational when he shot a 36-hole score of 6-under-par 136, which was a career-low two-round score. Lugiano shot a team-low three-round score of 12-over-par 225 in the 2021 PSAC Championship, which earned him a tie for 13th place.
• Sophomore, Noah Keener has showed promise this season, owning a 77.1 scoring average, and will look to build off a couple strong outings this season. Keener's top finish of the year came at the Alvernia Invitational where he shot 5-over-par 51 to earn a share of eighth place. Keener did not compete in the 2021 PSAC Championship.
• Redshirt senior, Christopher Knox is entering his final PSAC Championship with a 77.5 scoring average. The fifth-year Marauder shot a season-low two-round 1-over-par 143 to place 36th at the Vulcan Invitational this season. Knox placed 38th in last season's championship, shooting a 26-over-par 239.
• Ty Morrall and Carl Ernst are the only other Marauders that have played in all eight rounds for head coach Scott Vandergrift. Both golfers participated in the 2021 championship as Ernst placed 34th after shooting 22-over-par 235 and Morrall finished in a tie for 39th following a 29-over-par 242 performance.

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT 

• The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship Tournament is set to begin Friday, Oct. 14 at the Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, Pa.
• A total of 10 institutions will compete in the championship including Bloomsburg, California (Pa.), Clarion, Gannon, Indiana (Pa.), Mercyhurst, Millersville,  Pitt-Johnstown, Shepherd and West Chester.
