HEAD COACH SCOTT VANDEGRIFT THOUGHTS
- On Brady Erb: “Brady Erb has always been one of our top performers, but he has been an outstanding captain and leader of this year’s team. After back surgery in December, there was still a question of if he would be able to play this spring, but his hard work and preparation for his game has shown. He will definitely be a contender for the individual title at the PSAC Championships. He will lead our team to hopefully winning the championship.”
- On Bobby Lugiano: “Bobby Lugiano was a top recruit who came to Millersville with a great background of experience in tournament play. I feel the adjustment to college life may have slowed him down to start, but his focus and background of experience is starting to really show. I feel he will be a major contributor to the team’s success in the championship.”
- On the men’s performance this season: “I’ve just been trying to make them understand that they have put the hard work in through practice and that we just need to focus on letting our best golf show up when it counts. This team can play much better and I hope our best efforts show up on Friday and Saturday.”
- On returning to the PSAC’s: “We all feel very fortunate in having a spring season to compete. I thank all the people of Millersville and the PSAC that made this happen. At the very first invitational at Crofton the enthusiasm shown by the players and coaches was very exciting. The teams have done a good job in the making in making the tournaments safe and the PSAC Championship will exhibit this excitement.”
