Men’s golf places eighth in PSAC Championships

HERSHEY, Pa. – The Millersville men's golf team improved its second round score by 11 strokes to place eighth overall at the PSAC Championships with a final score of 643 (+75).
Indiana (Pa.) were named PSAC team champions after a 297 performance in the second round thrust them ahead of Mercyhurst by four strokes, 601 (+33). Shepherd's Owen Elliott remained in first on the individual leaderboard and was named individual winner shooting one-under 141 in two rounds.
Bobby Lugiano moved up 10 spots on the leaderboard to finish the tournament in 27th overall. He improved his first round 84 by eight strokes (76) for a two-round score of 160 (+18).
Bailey Neveker improved his first round score by five strokes to move up five spots on the leaderboard. He tied for 28th overall and shot 83-78 for a two-day total of 161 (+19).
Brady Erb followed close behind tied for 31st in the 45-person field. Erb shot back-to-back 81's for a two-round total of 162 (+20).
Ronnie Yanoski and Christopher Knox rounded out the lineup for the Marauders both tying for 33rd. Yanoski shaved off a single stroke in the second round for a two-day total of 163 (+21). Knox also had a two-day total of 163 (+21) and shot 81-82.
Millersville will play in the IUP Invitational on April 19 and 20 at the Indiana Country Club. It will be the last tournament for the Marauders before the NCAA Atlantic Regional. The team was recently ranked eighth in the NCAA Division II regional rankings.
