ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• Millersville opened PSAC East play by winning three of four against Bloomsburg. Millersville is one of four teams in the East two win three of four in the opening weekend. Of the 54 PSAC East series Millersville has played since the start of the 2011 season, it has lost only three series. Shippensburg owns two of those series wins (2012 and 2017), and is the only PSAC East program to sweep Millersville since 2010.Â
• Millersville boasts the PSAC's top-run scoring offense. Millersville averages 8.6 runs per game and has scored 53 more runs than any other team in the league. Millersville also leads the PSAC in doubles (49) and walks (114) and ranks second in home runs (24) and on base percentage (.410).Â
• Millersville has seen a surge in home run production. It has already hit more home runs that it did in all of 2018. Millersville hit five homers at Bloomsburg and has hit at least one in 12 of the last 17 games. The Marauders are 10-2 when hitting at least one home run.Â
•
Ben Snyder enters the weekend riding a 17-game hitting streak. It is the longest streak by a Marauder since
Mitch Stoltzfus posted a 28-game streak in 2016. It started on Feb. 24 against Lake Erie, and he is hitting .394 (28-for-71) with 11 extra-base hits and a .451 OBP during that stretch. Snyder ranks second in the PSAC in hits and runs, is fourth in RBIs and third in doubles.
•
Cole Friese has reached base in all 23 games of the season and leads the PSAC in hits and runs while also ranking second in home runs and third in RBIs. Friese's seven homers are already a career high. Friese has also scored at least one run in 19 of 23 games. Millersville is 0-4 when Friese does not score a run.Â
Friese has also jump-started Millersville on the base paths. In the first 13 games, Friese went 1-for-4 in stolen base chances. In the last nine games, Friese is a perfect 10-for-10 in steals. In that same stretch, Millersville is 30-for-35 in stolen base opportunities. The Marauders were 6-for-15 in stolen base attempts in the first 13 games.Â
• Shippensburg native
Cordell Shannon has had plenty of success against his hometown team. Shannon did not face the Raiders in 2018, but in three starts in 2016 and 2017, Shannon went 3-0 with no runs and 11 hits allowed over 25 innings. In 2019, Shannon has won his last five starts, posting a 2.45 ERA with 30 strikeouts to nine walks and a .213 batting average against in 29 1/3 innings. He is second in the PSAC in wins, third in innings and eighth in strikeouts.Â
• Out of the bullpen,
Aidan Welch has made 10 appearances and has now allowed a run in eight of those. He made three appearances in the Bloomsburg series, totaling 1 1/3 innings. He gave up just one hit.
Tyler Yankosky has allowed only two earned runs in his nine appearances totaling 15 2/3 innings. He has struck out 24. Opponents are hitting just .145 against him.

Bobby Dorta made his first start of the season in game four of the Bloomsburg series and gave up just one unearned run in 3 1/3 innings. Dorta has not allowed an earned run in his five appearances spanning 9 2/3 innings.
Noah Hartwell has not allowed a run in six of his seven appearances and has struck out 13 in 8 1/3 innings.Â
