
Men’s golf earns second win of the season

MOHNTON, Pa. – The Millersville men's golf team brought home its second first-place finish of the season at the Alvernia Fall Invitational at the Ledgerock Golf Club.
The team carded a 302 (+14) for the day. Four Marauders placed in the top 10. Senior Brady Erb led the team just two strokes behind the individual champion. Penn State Berks' Andrew Cornish took the individual title shooting 3-under 69.
TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
• Erb came in second place overall for Millersville shooting 1-under for a new 18-hole best.
• Christopher Knox shot even-par (72) to tie for third place.
• Senior Matt Spak finished just one shot over par (73) and tied for fifth.
• John Devic cleared the top 10 carding 76 (+4) to tie for ninth place.
• Ronnie Yanoski made the cut in the top 25 shooting an 82 (+10) to tie for 22nd.
• Austin Lauver earned a single-round score of 89 (+17) to tie for 39th in the 60-person field.
NOTES
• Erb topped his lowest career 18-hole score by two strokes. He previously recorded a 73 at the Hal Hansen Invitational last season. This marks his second top-10 finish this year.
• Knox improved his lowest career 18-hole score by a single stroke. He previously shot a 73 at the Ogelbay Resort Intercollegiate Invitational in the spring. He has now earned two top-10 finishes this season.
• Spak notched a fourth top-10 finish into his belt for the season.
• Devic recorded his first top-10 finish this season.
• Yanoski now holds two top-25 spots for the season and 10 in his career.
