
Millersville finishes third, Spak claims 11th after final round at PSAC Championships

HERSHEY, Pa. – The Millersville men's golf team battled rough conditions on the course to shot a 312 in the final round of play at the PSAC Championships. Indiana (Pa.) and West Chester remained above the Marauders claiming first and second, respectively.
Gannon caught up to Millersville on the final day erasing four shots from their round-two score to tie the Marauders in third. West Chester struggled with the conditions tacking on eight shots to their round-two score to top Millersville by 10 shots with a final team score of 918. Indiana saw an added six strokes in the round, but pulled through to claim the Individual title with a team score of 905.
A three-way tie for first led to a playoff hole between Indiana's Shaun Fedor, Shepard's Owen Elliott and West Chester's Chris Warner. Fedor came out on top making par on two holes to claim the individual championship title.
Matt Spak cleared five shots from his previous two rounds recording a 74 in the third round. Spak moved up the leaderboard 10 spots in the three days to finish in 11th place with a three-round total of 232.
Ronnie Yanoski and Brady Erb both finished tied for 13th. Yanoski further improved his score shaving two more shots from his second-round 78. Erb carded an 84 in the final round. The duo each earned a three-day total of 234.
Christopher Knox cleared the top 25 and finished in 21st carding a 236. John Devic erased three shots from the second shooting an 81 in the final round. Devic took 31st with a three-round total of 242.
The tournament concludes play for the team until March when they return to the links at the Brown Invitational in North Carolina.
