
Women’s golf hosts Millersville Invitational Sunday

ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• The Millersville University women's golf team continues its fall season by hosting the Millersville Women's Golf Invitational on Sunday at Tanglewood Manor Golf Course. The Marauders are coming off a win at the Ursinus Invitational a week ago. The shotgun start begins at 1 p.m.
• The Marauders have collected an 87.4 scoring average through the first three tournaments. Leading the group, sophomore Hannah Yanoski is scoring an average of 84.2 with her teammate, senior Danielle Greene, not far behind, shooting an average of 85.0.
• Millersville is coming off two single-round tournaments.
• Led by Yanoski's 11-over 82 in the Ursinus Invitational, the Marauders earned their lowest-season score of 345.
• Greene posted 83's in the last two events, finishing tied for 22nd and in third place.
• The two freshmen, Cassandra Vogel and Alexandra Craig, have played in each tournament.

The LAST TOURNAMENT: URSINUS INVITATIONAL (Sept. 24, 2018)
• The Marauders won the invitational with Yanoski narrowly missing out on winning the individual title, finishing second with an 11-over 82. Right behind Yanoski, Greene fired a 12-over 83, tying for third place.
• Junior Joelie Bennett shot an 18-over 89, earning her first top-10 of the season.
• Craig recorded a 91 while Vogel posted a 98.
• That was the Marauders second-consecutive win at the tournament.
COURSE SETUP
• This is the second time that the tournament will be held at Tanglewood Manor Golf Course.
• The 10-team field includes nine schools from Division III. Only the Marauders are a Division II program. The field includes Franklin & Marshall, Eastern, Alvernia, Lebanon Valley, Cabrini, Muhlenberg, Stevenson and Dickinson.
• The field will play on a par-72 5,804 yard golf course. The course is set up to play 3,013 yards on the front nine and 2,791 yards on the back nine.
• The hardest hole on the course is the par-4 eighth hole, playing 383 yards.
