Quarryville, Pa. – Led by sophomore Hannah Yanoski's 82 and senior Danielle Greene's 83, the Millersville University women's golf team finished second out of nine teams at its tournament--the Millersville Invitational--at Tanglewood Manor Golf Course.
The Marauders shot 348, 14 shots shy of the first place, Stevenson with 330. Stevenson shot the lowest team score in the tournament's history.
TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
• Yanoski led the Marauders with a fifth-place finish in the 41-player field, shooting a 10-over 82. Yanoski shot a 4-over 40 on the front and then struggled on the back-nine, shooting a 6-over 42.
• Greene was right behind her teammate in sixth place. Greene fired an 11-over 83. Green posted a 4-over 40 on the front nine and followed with a 7-over 43 on the back. She began her round with four-straight bogeys but then bounced back to par three out of the five last holes that included a birdie on the par-4 17th.

HEAD COACH SCOTT VANDEGRIFT QUOTES
• "First of all, we were very fortunate with the weather. The golf course was in rough shape and the entire field was able to handle the right way. We were very lucky to be able to play at this facility today. There was some good play out there--the weather was perfect."
• "Danielle played well, but she had some rough holes so hopefully as we move toward the next tournament that she will be able to reduce some of the mistakes she has been making. Hannah also played very well but had some major mistakes on different holes. It seems to plague our whole team, but I can live with the consistency because practice has been very good and they are always trying to adjust the mistakes they are making."
• "We will play a number of these same teams when we meet them at Alvernia and the Revolutionary Classic. We have a whole week of practice, I think that this group of ladies will respond very well. They know that they can play with these teams but one team got by us today. The ultimate goal is to be ready for the PSAC Championship to have a great run there."
NOTES
• Greene recorded 1-over on the par-3's, tying for second in the field. Bennett was not far off from Greene, posting 2-over.
• Yanoski was the lone golfer in the field under par on the par-5 holes with an average of 4.67. Yanoski led the team with seven pars.
• Stenroos finished her first collegiate tournament round while Yocum posted her first score of the season.
• The most difficult holes for the field was the 313-yard, par-4 third and the 467-yard, par-5 10th. Both holes averaged 1.74 over par.
