Millersville falls against St. Thomas Aquinas

Orlando, Fla. – The Millersville University women's tennis team lost 8-1 against St. Aquinas College Sunday afternoon in this first day of its spring break trip at the United States Tennis Association's National Campus Sunday afternoon.
Junior Katina Jones earned her fifth win of the season. Jones was the only Marauder who won today. Saint Thomas Aquinas' No. 1 Lovisa Engstrand won the first set 6-2. Jones dominated the second set 6-1 to push the match to the third set. Jones and Engstrand went down to the wire, going back and forth for Jones to come on top 13-11.
In the No. 2 singles match, freshman Megan Rovenolt went down 6-1 in the first set. Rovenolt fought in the back-to-back second set for St. Thomas Aquinas' Nyenyeri Kanefu to win in a tiebreaker.
The Marauders did not win any of the doubles matches.
The Marauders comes back to the court Monday, March 12 at 3:30 p.m. against Angelo State in Orlando.
