ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• Millersville makes its home debut Wednesday boasting a 4-0 record. The Marauders have started 4-0 five times under the watch of Brian Smith but have reached 5-0 just once. That came with a 7-0 start in 2015. The Marauders are 15-10 at home since 2015.
• Millersville posted a .310 hitting percentage in its first weekend, which leads all PSAC teams. The Marauders piled up 190 kills to just 53 errors. The 190 kills in just 13 sets ranks best in the PSAC as well. Erin Harman's 4.33 kills per set leads the PSAC (52 total), and Kelsi Ceriani ranks second in hitting percentage (.438) while freshman Lindsey Blevins ranks sixth (.411).
• The Marauders also totaled 182 assists, averaging 14.0 per set. That total also ranks first in the PSAC. Katie Laughman and Grace Dawson split time at the setter position. Laughman totaled 98, including 50 in the four-set win over Goldey-Beacom. Dawson totaled 45, averaging 6.43 per set.
• Harman recorded a career-high 24 kills while committing just three errors against Goldey-Beacom. Blevins totaled 17 kills twice in the four matches.

ABOUT THE SERIES
• Millersville is 7-4 all-time against Jefferson (formerly Philadelphia) with the first meeting coming in 1999 and the most recent coming in 2016, which Philadelphia won 3-1. The programs have met in each of the last 10 seasons and Jefferson has won two in a row.

THE LAST MEETING: JEFFERSON 3, MILLERSVILLE 1 (Sept. 2, 2016)
• The four-set loss to (Jefferson) was closely contested with a total of 24 tied scores and 12 lead changes in the match. Ceriani hit .348 with 10 kills to two errors. Harman led the team with 18 kills. Freshman Haley Butler hit .476 with 11 kills while committing just one error. Dawson recorded 43 assists for her seventh career 40-assists performance. She also led the team with 14 digs.
• The Rams, however, were too much at the net for the Marauders. The Rams totaled 10 blocks to Millersville's three and hit .321 while the Marauders mustered a .197 hitting percentage.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Jefferson's 1-3 start featured a win over Merrimack, a five-set loss to Le Moyne and a four-set loss to LIU Post. The Rams went 29-5 with an 18-1 conference record in 2016, winning the CACC Championship in straight sets over Caldwell before losing in five to New Haven in the opening match of the NCAA Tournament. Jefferson entered 2017 with back-to-back 20-plus win seasons. Jefferson was picked as the preseason favorite in the CACC.
• This season's team has just one senior in the lineup. Junior Courtney Wensel was the top offensive threat in the first four matches, posting 50 kills and a .126 hitting percentage. She's also active defensively, totaling a team-high 60 digs. The Rams averaged seven service aces per match in the opening weekend. Freshman Caitlin Crespo recorded eight, including six in the win over Merrimack.
