LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Lock Haven rolled to a three-set win (25-18, 25-16, 25-23) over visiting Millersville Friday evening in the penultimate PSAC East match of the season.
Lock Haven out-hit the Marauders .197 to .145, totaling 47 kills to Millersville's 27. Lock Haven assisted on 43 of its 47 kills. Lola Coulter led the Bald Eagles with 15 kills and Natalie Acevedo added 10.
Sam White led Millersville with 10 kills without an error, hitting .625.
In the opening set, Millersville pulled within 22-18 on a Lock Haven attack error, but the Bald Eagles finished off the set with three consecutive kills, including two from Coulter. Millersville managed just seven kills in set two and trailed by as many as 10 as Lock Haven reeled off a run of eight consecutive points to pull away. The Marauders kept the third set interesting as a service error and attack error pulled the Marauders to within 24-23. Acevedo, however, closed the match with a kill.
Millersville's season comes to a close Saturday at Bloomsburg.
