Marauders experience difficult first round at the Super Regional

Daniels, West Virginia -- The Millersville men's golf team finished the Super Regional first round in 19th place after the team finished 33 over par.
Three strokes separated Millersville's top three finishers. Junior Connor Sheehan led the team on the first day and tied for 35th after shooting 5-over-par. Senior Rodney Anders finished two shots behind Sheehan after shooting a 79 and is currently tied for 58th. Junior Mitchell Burns tied for 70th despite shooting one stroke more than Anders.
Redshirt freshman Matt Spak finished tied for 99th after shooting 13-over-par. Sophomore Matt Keim finished three strokes behind Spak and ended the day tied for 103rd.
The men's team remains in striking distance of a top-half spot with two rounds left in the tournament. Millersville and the tenth place spot are separated by only 13 strokes and a cleaner second round can get the team closer to matching their finish last season.
