Daniels, West Virginia -- Junior Connor Sheehan earned a spot as one of two individual qualifiers for the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships after finishing third overall at the Super Regional Wednesday. The Millersville men's team moved up four spots to finish tied for 14th after the team shot nine strokes better than the second round.
Sheehan shot a 77 in round one before shooting a 70 in the second and third rounds and finishing the tournament 1-over-par. Sheehan joins Mercyhurst University's Chris Kupniewski as the other individual qualifier to advance beyond the Super Regional. Kupniewski finished second overall as he shot one stroke better than Sheehan during the tournament.
Senior Rodney Anders shot a 79, 75 and 76 during the three rounds. Anders consistency on the third day allowed him to move up eight spots to finish tied for 35th.
Redshirt freshman Matt Spak started the tournament with an 85 on day one. Spak improved over the next two rounds as he shot a 79 during round two and a 76 during round three. Spak finished tied for 86th after starting the day tied for 94th.

Sophomore Matt Keim showed the most improvement over the course of the tournament. Keim struggled on day one and shot an 88. He followed up with an improved 82 on day two before catching fire on day three shooting a 75. Keim finished tied for 99th.
