
Women's tennis loses 5-4 to Elizabethtown College

Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania -- The Millersville women's tennis team lost 5-4 in Head Coach Matt Helsel's return to Elizabethtown College Monday.
Elizabethtown won the first and third doubles matches while sophomores Katina Jones and Sarah Sambrick won the second doubles match 8-6.
Jones won the first singles match of the day easily with 6-1 and 6-2 victories. Sambrick followed up with a hard fought win. Sambrick lost the first set 5-7 but rallied with 6-2 and 6-3 victories in the following sets. Elizabethtown went on to win the next two matches and claiming victory for the day. Undeterred from the team score, Jessica Soullaird won her singles match 6-3 and 6-0 to bring the day to an end.
Millersville ends their season at 4-15 after being mathematically eliminated from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs over the weekend.
