
Sheehan and Anders finish top-10 as Millersville finishes eighth at the Cecil Spadafora Invitational

Indiana, Pennsylvania -- Junior Connor Sheehan and redshirt senior Rodney Anders finish in the top-10 as the Millersville men's golf team finished eighth at the Cecil Spadafora Invitational Monday.
Sheehan started the second round in sixth after shooting a 76 in the first round. He shot a 73 during the second round and finished the invitational tied for fourth. Anders shot a 73 during the first round and entered the second round in third. He stumbled the second day and shot a 79, but he still finished tied for eighth.
Junior Bret Howey played consistently as an independent player and shot an 80 in both rounds; he finished tied for 31st. Junior Mitchell Burns and sophomore Matt Keim both finished tied for 38th. Burns shot an 84 during the first round and an improved 80 in the second round. Keim shot an 85 in the first round but rallied and shot a 79 during the second round. Redshirt freshman Matt Spak struggled during the first round and shot an 87, but roared back on the second day and shot a 79 to move up six spots and finish inside the top-50.
With the final event of the season over, the men's golf team now wait to find out if it will receive an invitation to the NCAA Super Regional which will be held May 8-10 in Daniels, W.Va.
