Millersville, Pennsylvania -- The Millersville women's tennis team fell to Bloomsburg University 5-0 after multiple matches were thwarted by the rain Saturday.
With rain in the forecast, the matches began with three contentious doubles matches that the Marauders nearly won. Sophomores Katina Jones and Sarah Sambrick lost their match 8-6, while sophomores Jessica Soullaird and Haley Nauman also dropped their match 8-6. Junior Kimberly Theophile and sophomore Kelley Hershey's match ended with a 9-7 heartbreaker. Nauman and Soullaird's singles match losses were the only singles matches that counted because of the rain.
The Millersville women's tennis team returns to the court at Wilmington University March 30.
