
Anders and Sheehan lead the men's golf team after top half PSAC finish in the fall

Millersville, Pennsylvania -- The Millersville men's golf team begins their spring season five months removed from their top half finish at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Golf Championships. The team finished in the top half in every event this past fall season.
Leading the charge for the Marauders are redshirt senior Rodney Anders and junior Connor Sheehan.
Anders played in four of the five tournaments in the fall while finishing top-3 in three of the tournaments. Anders tied for first at the Mercyhurst Invitational and finished tied for third at the PSAC Championships. He posted a scoring average of 75.125 in his eight rounds played.
Sheehan placed top-10 four out of five tournaments while posting two first place finishes at Glade Springs and Mercyhurst. Sheehan tied for sixth at the PSAC Championships while finishing one stroke behind third place Anders. Sheehan averaged 75.55 during his 11 rounds played.
Sophomore Matt Spak played consistently for the Marauders as well. Spak posted two top-10 finishes while posting a top half finish at the PSAC Championships. Spak averaged 77.73 in the eleven rounds he played.
The Marauders played consistently as a team during the fall season. The team averaged 78.66 in the 63 rounds played. Head coach Scott Vandegrift is preparing his team to make the NCAA Super Regional for the fifth year in a row. Only the top 10 teams in the region qualify for the super regional.
The team returns to the links today at the Foxfire Invitational in Foxfire Village, N.C.
