
Connor Sheehan ties for sixth as men's golf finishes top-3 at the BrownGolf Intercollegiate

Jackson Springs, North Carolina -- Junior Connor Sheehan surged 14 spots on the second day of play to help Millersville to a third place finish at the BrownGolf Intercollegiate Saturday.
Sheehan shot a 77 in his first round of the spring season. The junior appeared to shake the rust off as he shot even par to move from 20th to tied for sixth. Sheehan has now finished top-10 in five out of six possible events this season.
Sophomore Matt Spak earned his fourth top-20 finish of the season as he finished tied for 12th. Spak shot a 74 on the first day and a 77 on the first day to finish seven over par in the tournament.
Redshirt senior Rodney Anders played consistently as he shot 76 both rounds. Anders finished tied for 17th, and he has finished in the top-25 in every match this season. Joining Anders at 17th was sophomore Matt Keim. Keim started hot shooting 74 in the first round. However, his 78 on the second day caused him to fall 10 spots to 17.
Junior Mitchell Burns rounded out the list of Marauders finishing in the top-25. Burns shot a 78 in the first round but tightened up his game to shoot a 75 in the second round to finish tied for 22nd. Burns has now finished in the top-25 in four events.
The men's golf team returns to the links against Eastern University on March 28 in St. Davids, Pa.
