Box Score 2 Salem, Virginia - The Millersville softball team went 0-3 to start the spring break trip on Saturday. The Marauders first fell 3-1 to Tiffin, then lost 12-4 in extra innings against West Virginia Wesleyan and were defeated 10-2 by Ursuline in the final game of the day.

In the first game, Tiffin scored a run in the first, third and fourth to take a 3-0 lead.
Heather Lutz led off the sixth with a double and
Raeann Buskey would bring her home to cut into the deficit. The Dragons shut the door, however, and Millersville went down 1-2-3 in the seventh.
In the second game, Ursuline jumped out to a two-run lead in the first but Millersville evened it up in the second when
Brittany Smith and
Megan McCurdy both registered RBI singles to even the score at 2-2. The Arrows exploded in the second inning and scored six runs and took control of the game. Adding two more runs in the fourth, Ursuline took the contest, 10-2.
In the last game, Millersville and West Virginia Wesleyan went swing for swing as the Marauders tied the score in the bottom of the seventh when Lutz hit an RBI double to make the game, 3-3. In the ninth inning
Maria Spinosa tied the game to send it to the 10th inning. In the 10th, the Bobcats blew open the game with eight runs.
The Marauders now sit at 5-5 on the year and have a game against Mansfield Sunday at 10 a.m. before heading to Florida.Â
