Nabholz named 2017's first PSAC East Pitcher of the Week

Lock Haven, Pennsylvania - It didn't take long for newcomer Eli Nabholz to make an impact on the Millersville baseball team. After starting the season 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA in three starts, Nabholz was named the season's first PSAC East Pitcher of the Week.
It is the fifth consecutive season that a Millersville pitcher has won the PSAC's first weekly award. Nabholz transferred to Millersville after a freshman season at Penn State, and in three starts with the Marauders, he has struck out 24 in 19 innings while walking just five. Nabholz has also allowed just 17 hits, and has not given up more than six hits or three runs in any of his three starts.
Nabholz's season started with a no decision at WInston-Salem State, but he allowed just three runs on six hits over six innings. Nabholz then struck out 12 in a complete game effort against Charleston. In his most recent start, he gave up just one earned run on five hits while fanning nine.
Millersville, ranked No. 1 in Monday's release of the NCBWA Atlantic Region poll, travels to Shepherd on Saturday before making its home debut on Sunday.
