GAME OVERVIEW
• No. 3 Millersville is down to its final two games of the regular season. The Marauders enter the game coming off a 5-0 win over Belmont Abbey. Millersville outshot their non-conference opponent 31-0 in the win. After starting 3-3, Millersville has caught fire. The Marauders have helped their quest as of late, enjoying 10 straight victories, nine of which have come by shutout.
• All four of Millersville's final games come at home this season, with two in the books and two still to come. All four are important, and Millersville has done well so far, defeating No. 10 Bloomsburg in the first game of the final homestand and Belomont Abbey in the second. The Marauders have won seven straight against PSAC opponents with two pivotal PSAC games remaining. Millersville can clinch home field advantage and a first round bye in the PSAC Tournament with a win over Shippensburg on Wednesday. Shippensburg and Millersville have the same exact PSAC record, thus the winner of this game will have a one-game lead with one game remaining and will own the tiebreaker.
• The Marauders have outscored opponents 28-2 in the last 10 games which i two wins over top 10 programs. Several players have stepped up. Last Tuesday, it was Aliza Mizak and Alexis Gazzio who factored in most for the Marauders. Mizak scored twice (her second multi-goal game of the year) and Gazzio tacked on another later in the game. On Saturday, the Marauders received goals from Maci Langone, Emma Boutcher, Kathleen Bishop and Erica Tarsi. Mizak, Tarsi and Bishop have combined for 19 goals this season. Tarsi (who has a team-leading 10 goals) has recorded a hat trick already this year, and Bishop (nine goals) scored four goals in one game. The threats range far beyond the aforementioned players, as 11 different players have scored in the 2017 season.
• Millersville leads all of Division II in goals against average, allowing just 0.79 goals per game. Goalkeeper Kyle Bair is at the top of the list as well. The Marauders also lead Division II in shutouts with 10.

ABOUT THE SERIES
• Millersville and Shippensburg have been two of the premier teams in Division II for years. Last season, the Raiders eliminated Millersville in the NCAA semifinal with a goal in the 65th minute to win 1-0. Even in a year in which Shippensburg had the last laugh, the Marauders still had success against the Raiders, defeating them in the PSAC Championship just weeks before losing in the national tournament. All four matchups last year were decided by one goal, and these intensely close matchups have been a trend lately. In 2014 the rivals faced off four times. In those games both teams were ranked in the top three. The Marauders eventually downed Ship 2-1 in the NCAA Quarterfinal. Millersville would go on to win the national championship that year. In 2013, Ship beat Millersville in the national semifinal. Ship went on to win the title that year.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Shippensburg came out of the gates on another level in 2017. After starting 3-1, the Raiders hosted the Marauders. Millersville lost 6-1 for its most lopsided loss since 2008. The Raiders rattled off eight consecutive wins in the middle of the season, including victories over No. 8 Bloomsburg, No. 2 Millersville, No. 1 East Stroudsburg, No. 5 West Chester, No. 5 Slippery Rock, and No. 8 Bloomsburg (again). But the Raiders were not invincible, losing to Division III's top-ranked Messiah. In their last game, Shippensburg was shutout by Kutztown, 3-0. After starting 10-1, the Raiders have gone 2-2 in their last four to 12-3.
• Emily Barnard, who scored two goals against Millersville in the first meeting, ranks fifth nationally in goals with 17. As a team, Shippensburg ranks fifth in goals per game.
