ABOUT THE MATCHES
• After opening the season with 11 road matches, the Millersville women's volleyball team finally makes its home debut on Friday against Edinboro and then hosts Slippery Rock on Saturday. The Marauders are hoping the home court advantage of Pucillo Gymnasium can end an eight-match losing streak, which is the longest since 2003. Six of Millersville's losses have been decided in extra sets. Millersville is 55-34 (.618) at home under the direction of Coach Brian Smith
• Millersville's biggest struggle has come at the net, especially defensively. The Marauders rank last in the league in opponent hitting percentage, allowing a mark of .234. The Marauders also rank 15th in blocks per set at 1.22. On the flipside, Millersville's opponents average 1.88 blocks per set, which is second-highest in the PSAC.
• Among the Marauders' strengths has been the play of Erin Harman, who ranks fourth in the PSAC and first among PSAC Central players in kills per set (3.44). Harman has registered double-digit kills in all but one match, and has seven double-doubles, recording double-digit digs eight times.
• While Harman is among the league leaders in service aces (ninth), freshman Katie Laughman ranks fifth and leads the team with 41 and an average of 0.46 per set.
Grace Dawson ranks seventh in the PSAC in assists. She has topped 30 assists six times and had a run of five consecutive matches with double-digit digs.
• After starting 0-4 with losses to two nationally-ranked opponents, Edinboro has ripped off nine consecutive victories and took down PSAC Central Division opponents Lock Haven and Pitt-Johnstown.
• Slippery Rock has won two of the last three including a five-set win over Lock Haven. The Rock faces defending PSAC champion Shippensburg on Friday before visiting Millersville on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
• History is not on Millersville's side against Edinboro or Slippery Rock. The Marauders are combined 10-33 all-time against the two programs. Millersville, however, knocked off Slippery Rock by a 3-1 score in last season's meeting behind 11 kills and 13 digs from Erin Harman. Edinboro, which reached the NCAA Tournament last season, needed five sets to top the Marauders in 2015. Millersville won the first two sets before dropping three in a row to lose 3-2. Harman and Kelsi Ceriani totaled 12 kills each and Grace Dawson totaled 40 assists. Millersville's last win over Edinboro came in 2013 by a 3-1 score.

ABOUT THE EDINBORO
• Under Missy Soboleski, Edinboro has been among the most consistent and successful programs from the PSAC. Soboleski recently became the program's all-time wins leader with a 264-145 record. She entered the season ranked 28th in wins among active Division II coaches. Edinboro has reached the NCAA Tournament eight times since 2005.
• Challen Litwiler, the reigining PSAC West Athlete of the Year, was named PSAC Northwest Athlete of the Week on Sept. 20. She totaled 510 kills from her outside hitter position last season and is averaging 2.55 kills and 2.62 digs per set this season.
 • Victoria Severo leads the PSAC in hitting percentage at .397, totaling 101 kills to just 18 errors.
 • As a team, Edinboro ranks fourth in the PSAC in hitting percentage (.227) and ranks fifth in kills (12.62 per set). However, the Fighting Scots rank last in the 16-team league in digs.

ABOUT THE ROCK
• Laurie Lokash is in her 33rd season at Slippery Rock. The Rock was voted to finish fourth in the PSAC Northwest in the league's preseason poll. The team allows 11.7 kills per set while totaling 11.4. That total ranks 12th in the PSAC. The Rock's .127 hitting percentage ranks 14th in the 16-team league.
• Leah Jones leads the team with 151 kills (2.75 per set). Slippery Rock employs two setters with Haley Defibaugh leading the team with 270. Zoe Rivet has 255 and also leads the team in service aces with 24 (to 12 service errors).
