
Women's Tennis Closes Division Play with Rout of Shippensburg

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team closed PSAC Eastern Division play Saturday with a 9-0 sweep of Shippensburg. The Marauders finished the regular season in second place in the division with a 5-1 record.
Millersville won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches. Sarah Sambrick and Nicole Daacke paired at No. 1 doubles for an 8-2 win. The teams of Kaylora Thompson and Tori Davis and Kelley Hershey and Kimberly Theophile also won handily.
Sambrick won by a 6-2, 6-1 score at No. 1 singles to improve to 5-1 in PSAC East competition. Daacke, Davis, Theophile, Thompson and Soullaird all won in straight sets.
Millersville travels to Chestnut Hill on April 21 before entering PSAC Tournament action on April 26.
