Women's Golf Takes Runner-Up at Eastern Invitational

St. David's, Pa. - The Millersville women's golf finished in second place at Tuesday's Eastern Spring Invitational held at St. David's Golf Club.

Millersville has now finished no lower than third in 14 consecutive tournaments dating to the start of the 2015 spring season. On Tuesday, the Marauders a team 366 on the par-70 track, finish 21 shots behind Kutztown. The Marauders outdistanced West Chester by 16 shots.

Danielle Greene followed her win at the Revolutionary Classic with a fifth-place finish. Sh shot a 17-over-par 87, finishing six shots behind Megan Kimmel of Lebanon Valley, who took first. Danielle Freed was Millersville's No. 2 scorer with a 91, finishing in a tie for 12th. Jaimie Wharton tied for 14th and Kendal Olear tied for 17th.

Also in the field for Millersville was Cara Geiger and Alex Strong, who took 37th and 41st in the 69-player field.

The Marauders have just two tournaments remaining on the regluar season schedule. The team travels to the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational on April 10.
