
Women's golf wins Alvernia Fall Invitational

Mohnton, Pennsylvania -- Danielle Freed, Joelie Bennett and Danielle Greene finished in the top-5 as the Marauders earned their first tournament victory at the Alvernia Fall Invitational Wednesday.
Freed posted her second top-2 finish in eight days. The senior shot 14-over-par for a score of 86 and finished two strokes behind the leader.
Joelie Bennett posted her first top-3 finish of the season. The freshman shot 16-over-par for a score of 88 and tied for third place.
Danielle Greene earned her third top-5 finish in a row. The sophomore shot 17-over-par for a score of 89.
The Millersville women's team finished six strokes ahead of second place Alvernia University.
The Marauders' next event is Oct. 15 and 16 at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship in Hershey, Pa.
