Greene finishes runner-up at PSAC Championships

Millersville places sixth as a team
Hershey, Pennsylvania - Sophomore Danielle Greene shot a final round 3-over-par 75 and finished as the PSAC Championship runner-up Sunday at Hershey Country Club East Course. Senior Danielle Freed shot her way into the top 10 to help Millersville to a sixth-place finish.
Greene followed her opening round 76 with the second-lowest round of Sunday. Diana Munoz of Gannon, who entered the day with a one shot lead and two shots clear of Greene, posted a 1-over-par 73 to win by four shots. Greene tied with Gannon's Manuela Quevedo at 9-over-par for the tournament. Greene has placed in the top six of the championship in each of the last two seasons.
Freed scored the best PSAC Championship finish of her career, tying for ninth in the 44 player field. Freed placed 12th in 2015. Alexa Strong improved by eight shots in round two, shooting a 91 to place 35th. Freshmen Hailea Yocum and Joelie Bennett placed 39th and 40th respectively.
Millersville lowered its team total by 13 shots in round two. Gannon edged California by seven shots for the program's third PSAC Championship.
