Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville women's tennis team won its 17th consecutive match against Cheyney on Friday afternoon, shutting out the Wolves to the tune of a 9-0 score.
In doubles, the pairing of Tori Davis and Kaylora Thompson defeated Lachelle Miller and Erica Kellem 8-0, preceding Samantha Brzenk and Brandi Wogelmuth blanking Taylor Billington and Ceyhara Shelton by the same 8-0 score. Cheyney forfeited the third spot.
Singles play saw Tori Davis start things off with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Kellem, followed by a Kimberly Theophile win in No. 4 singles by 6-1, 6-0 scores. The No. 2 and 3 slots were unable to finish their match due to inclement weather. Heather Grove blanked Kyra Hines-Allen 6-0, 6-0 and the No. 6 spot was forfeited by the Wolves.
