Millersville Women's Tennis Falls to Gwynedd Mercy

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Gwynedd Mercy Sunday afternoon at home. The Marauders fell to 0-3 while Gwynedd Mercy improved to 13-1.
Short on numbers, there were only five singles matches and two doubles matches contested. Millersville's lone point came at No. 5 singles from Heather Grove. Grove defeated Nicole Picciolo 6-3, 6-4 to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Marauders also had a close call at No. 4 single when Samantha Brzenk lost, 6-1, 4-6, 10-6. Sara Sambrick and Tori Davis were also closely defeated at No. 1 doubles, 9-8.
Millersville closes its fall schedule on Monday at Millersville. The match vs. Holy Family is set for 3 p.m.
