
Women's Tennis Gets First PSAC East Win

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's tennis team earned its first PSAC East win of the season by defeating East Stroudsburg 6-3 Tuesday at McComsey Tennis Courts.
Millersville (3-11, 1-2 PSAC East) snapped a six-match losing streak and dealt East Stroudsburg's (7-5, 2-3 PSAC East) playoff hopes a serious blow. The Marauders took two of three doubles matches and four of the six singles contests.
Elizabeth Wagner and Tori Davis scored a convincing 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles, and the team of Kaylora Thompson and Nicole Daacke improved to 5-3 in the spring with a close 9-7 win at No. 3 doubles.
Wagner and Davis continued their success into singles. Wagner won in the No. 1 flight by a 6-0, 6-1 score. Davis won in the No. 2 spot, 6-2, 6-2. ESU picked up points with wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, but Daacke defeated Amber Jadus, who entered the match with a 10-3 record, by a 6-0, 6-1 score. Thompson closed the Marauder triumph with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 3 spot.
Including Tuesday's match, the Marauders play four PSAC East matches in four days. They travel to Cheyney on Wednesday.
