Weekend Overview
  • The Marauders (14-15, 7-13 PSAC) are currently playing some of their best volleyball of the season as they have won three straight and five of their last six. This hot streak couldn't have come at a better time as Millersville enters this weekend one game out of fourth place in the Eastern Division with two matches to play in the 2014 regular season. Lock Haven (18-10, 12-8 PSAC) has won two straight and five of seven while already having locked up a PSAC Tournament berth. The Bald Eagles are tied with Pitt-Johnstown for first place in the east. The Mountain Cats (18-11, 12-8 PSAC) have also clinched their PSAC Tournament berth and enter this weekend on a seven-match winning streak.

Series History
  • Lock Haven has controlled the all-time series to the tune of 26-10 including wins in four of these two teams' last five meetings. Earlier this season on Oct. 18, Millersville was swept in straight sets by the Bald Eagles and that gave the Marauders a sixth-straight loss before they were able to turn it around with some late-season momentum. Millersville and Pitt-Johnstown have only faced six times in the all-time series with either team taking three meetings.

  • Katie Lesinski is getting set for her final two regular season matches as a Millersville Marauder and has continued to climb up the record books all season. Going into Friday, she is second on the program's career attack attempts chart with 3,543 and her 1,152 kills are good for fourth all-time. Paul is also sixth for solo blocks in a career with 66. Her .209 career hitting percentage is good for fifth in the record books. When it comes to matches played, she ranks fifth (133) and for sets played, she sits in second (473). Lesinksi and Paul will be joined by the Canadian Alicia Kucey as the third and final senior for 2014's squad.

The junior is tied for fith in the league in service aces per set at 0.49 and her 49 total aces are good for sole possession of fifth place in the PSAC. Last Friday at Kutztown, the Lancaster, Pa. native sent home a career-high seven service aces against Kutztown and is now just 12 away from breaking into the top 10 on Millersville's all-time career chart.
